The M Team aim to meet all your training needs in Journalism, Creative Writing, TV and Radio, Photography and Picture Editing.

We are all experienced trainers who have worked in a wide range of fields and who offer sympathetic and insightful training.

Most of us have gained accreditation from the Chartered Management Institute and we can offer both coaching or mentoring to individuals or groups.
Or we can come into your organisation and offer you a bespoke package to take your business forward.

We are based in central Scotland but will travel anywhere to help you or your organisation.
​
And of course, in this time of Covid 19, we are doing much of our mentoring via online platforms.

Our lead trainer, Mark Fisher, is a theatre critic, editor, feature writer and freelance journalist based in Edinburgh. His reviews, features and interviews have appeared in many newspapers throughout the world. including The Guardian, Scotland on Sunday and The List.

Our lead trainer, Elaine Livingstone, is a freelance photographer based in Glasgow working on a variety of domestic & international assignments. Elaine is the former picture-editor of the award winning Sunday Herald.

Our lead trainer is Jean Rafferty, whose new novel, Foul Deeds Will Rise, will be published in June 2019. Her first two novels were both nominated for literary prizes. She also published her flash fiction on illustrated postcards, retailing them in Borders, Glasgow and other bookshops.

Mark Fisher has recently released his second book about cult band XTC, What Do You Call That Noise? He also wrote How To Write About Theatre. Jean Rafferty is the author of three novels and two non-fiction books about sport, plus a pamphlet co-written with Alan Bisset. Both have bn involved in publishing books
